Gansoshimadaya in Chofu

The temple itself is quite impressive, but really the whole area is worth a visit, especially the botanical gardens. Soba noodle town.

It's a nice historical site to visit if you want to visit the local shrine for sightseeing. It has less visitors compared to Asakusa Shrine so you could take nice scenery shots here without worrying too much about crowds. A bit far from the station but reachable by local bus.

What a beautiful temple. I had an absolutely amazing time here today. A very kind and extremely generous Japanese man gave us a free, full on tour explaining the history as we went, all out of the goodness of his heart. It brought so much color and depth to the experience. What a blessing. If anyone of you are ever interested in reading up on the history, read the book he published! You will not regret it!
